Course Outline
Bienvenue au DASC! In this continuers course, you will be picking up from where last term ended. This course is suitable for students who were enrolled in French Beginners previously, or who have covered the basics elsewhere (ie. high school, other night classes, etc). The course will be conducted at a gentle and relaxed pace using engaging materials. Prior content: In the beginner's course, students covered greetings, how to introduce themselves and how to ask how someone is feeling. They also learnt how to ask basic questions, how to inquire about someone's age, some general descriptions and how to count to twenty. Your instructor: Martin has been teaching French and German for more than a decade and has several years' experience teaching adults in evening colleges in Canberra. He now brings this experience to Darwin! Along with being a qualified secondary school teacher, Martin holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with a double major in Economic History and Advanced French and a Diploma in European Studies (German Studies) from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He is also a German citizen through his mother. Martin is passionate about language and will ensure you learn more than you expect in a laid back, low pressure environment. Course fees will not be refunded once confirmation and/or commencement of the course has occurred. ​In the event of a serious illness, you may request to transfer to the following term. A full refund of course fees will be paid if the advertised course does not proceed. Participants will be advised if a class does not have the minimum number of students to commence.
