Course Outline
We're delighted to invite newer sewers to join our friendly and creative community at the Saturday Sewing Workshop. No matter your level of experience, this is the perfect space for you to start a sewing project of your choice. Our sewing tutor, Christine, will be right there to provide guidance and assistance, ensuring that you feel supported and confident in your sewing journey. After the workshop, we want you to be able to continue sewing on your own. Our goal is to empower you with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue your sewing passion independently. IMPORTANT: This workshop is not designed for complete beginners and we do require participants to have some prior sewing experience. This ensures that everyone can make the most of their time together and build upon their existing sewing skills. PLEASE NOTE: Participants are required to bring a project of their choice, as well as everything that they need to complete the project. Sewing machines & basic sewing equipment are provided. The workshop will be available in 2-week blocks on Saturdays from 2:30-5 pm during the school term. Your Tutor: Christine has been a practising artist for about 30 years and learnt to sew as a child, taught by her mother. She has developed her skills over the years to the point that she makes most of her own clothes. Christine thoroughly enjoys sewing, introducing others to sewing and passing on the little tips and short cuts that have been shared with her over the years. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS Please choose carefully as course fees will not be refunded to participants who are unable to attend the course due to changes in personal circumstances or work commitments. Course fees will not be refunded once confirmation and/or commencement of the course has occurred. ​In the event of a serious illness, you may request to transfer to the following term. A full refund of course fees will be paid if the advertised course does not proceed. Participants will be advised if a class does not have the minimum number of students to commence.
