Course Outline
Starts Tuesday evening 7 May 2024 Dates: 7, 14, 21, 28 May, 4 & 11 June 6 weekly– 2½ hour sessions Artist’s soft pastels are a fast, direct and easy-to-use medium which can be used to draw and paint in vibrant colours and with creative self-expression. Soft pastels are a perfect starting point for your art journey. In this evening course of 6 weekly 2½ hour sessions, we will explore and discover what pastels can do. Using still life, flowers and Northern Territory landscapes as our reference and inspiration, we will investigate a range of techniques from the traditional to the experimental. Sessions will include tutor demonstrations, reference images, slide shows and practical drawing exercises. Come and spend some quiet time relaxing and creating with pastels. Artist’s soft pastels and other materials are included in the course fee.
