Course Outline
Course outline There is just something therapeutic and satisfying about working directly with your hands! In this course you will dive into various clay hand building techniques over this 4 week period, that will support you to create your own beautiful and unique sculptures for the home. All materials supplied, so you only need to bring yourself! What will I learn? • Familiarise yourself with the joys of working with clay • Learn the different clay building tools and techniques • Create your own sculptures to take home • Decorating techniques Your fourth class will be used for decorating the pieces you have made. These pieces will later be fired in the kiln, for you to collect at a later stage. Details: 4 classes Mondays 6:30 - 8:30 PM About your teacher: Kate is a resident potter in Darwin. Kate and her husband Gerald have many years of experience, and also have taught at Tactile Arts. Kate's forte is hand building with clay and designing objects for around the home and garden.
