Course Outline

Love riding your bike? This is a great course where you can learn the basics of bicycle care and maintenance. Each weekly session will include theory and hands on practices where we will be carrying out regular servicing… and you can bring your own bike provided it is absent of excess mud or grease. A fun and informative course with opportunity for parents to bring their children and learn together. Children must be over 10 years old and accompanied by a parent or guardian. This course will give you the basics of preventative maintenance that should be completed regularly on your: - Tyres - Brakes - Shifters and Derailleurs - Drivetrain; Chain and sprockets - Wheel Alignment, Tension of the Spokes - Headset and Bottom Bracket Bearings - Wheel Bearings The main aim is to keep your own bicycle running like a clockwork. This is a 5-week course held every Thursday evening (6:00pm to 8:30pm) where you can learn the basics of bicycle care and maintenance. Your instructor: Robert grew up riding bicycles and participated in international triathlons, mountain biking races and has had his own bicycle and eco-tour business overseas. After a 15-year period running his enterprise, he relocated to Sydney then Central Australia and now Darwin. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS Please choose carefully as course fees will not be refunded to participants who are unable to attend the course due to changes in personal circumstances or work commitments. Course fees will not be refunded once confirmation and/or commencement of the course has occurred. ​In the event of a serious illness, you may request to transfer to the following term. A full refund of course fees will be paid if the advertised course does not proceed. Participants will be advised if a class does not have the minimum number of students to commence.
