Course Outline
8 Tuesday evenings 2025 6:30pm-9:00pm This course will focus on traditional drawing skills which, even if you chose a more expressive approach are still useful - possibly essential - in order to enjoy the activity of drawing. We will explore classical Linear and Atmospheric perspective and look at some historical masterpieces, but will also investigate other ways of seeing, such as Isometric and Oblique perspective. Using traditional drawing media: graphite, charcoal, pen and ink and maybe metal point, we will look carefully at found natural objects, still life and landscapes both natural and urban as our reference. Come and join other people who love to draw. Suitable for beginners and all levels who would like to refresh their skills. Artist’s quality materials and equipment are included in the course fee. Course fees will not be refunded once confirmation and/or commencement of the course has occurred. In the event of a serious illness, you may request to transfer to the following term. A full refund of course fees will be paid if the advertised course does not proceed. Participants will be advised if a class does not have the minimum number of students to commence.
