Course Outline
Don't like following mass produced clothing patterns, which often don't fit as well as you expect? Do you want to make clothes but enjoy being a free spirit and more creative? Now's the opportunity to let your imagination go wild!! This is a 3 hour workshop where you will learn how to transform plain and boring clothes into one off designer items! Turn a basic white T-Shirt into a colourful patchwork dress! Jazz up old jeans into funky flares. Dresses too short? Let's add a fancy frill to make it longer! Do you have some half made projects sitting around still unfinished? Bring these in and turn them into something you'll be proud of. Jenny will show you how to create new designs with quick and easy tips and techniques. IMPORTANT: This workshop is not designed for complete beginners and we do require participants to have some prior sewing experience. This ensures that everyone can make the most of their time together and build upon their existing sewing skills. PLEASE NOTE: Participants are required to bring a project of their choice, as well as everything that they need to complete the project, although we do have some fabric pieces and embellishments for you to choose from. Sewing machines & basic sewing equipment are provided. We're delighted to invite newer sewers to join our friendly and creative community. This is the perfect space for you to start a sewing project of your choice. Your Tutor: Jenny has been sewing for many years and has recently honed her skills by attending our Garment Making lessons with the amazing Sandra who is a long time tutor and runs our Garment Making courses. Jenny has ventured into the world of funky fashion, using lots of recycled fabrics, trimmings and clothing to create new and unexpected garments! CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS Please choose carefully as course fees will not be refunded to participants who are unable to attend the course due to changes in personal circumstances or work commitments. Course fees will not be refunded once confirmation and/or commencement of the course has occurred. ​In the event of a serious illness, you may request to transfer to the following term. A full refund of course fees will be paid if the advertised course does not proceed. Participants will be advised if a class does not have the minimum number of students to commence.
