Course Outline
Course Outline This course is suitable for everyone who wants to be expressive and creative. Great for beginners with no prior art experience. Join in and find out what you can create. Participants will paint a wearable art piece - a hat - while exploring colour, form and personal creativity. The course integrates metacognition practices and creative reflections to facilitate wellbeing. Students will learn art techniques which include colour theory, brushes and brushstrokes. Materials are supplied but students are invited to bring in their own favourite brushes and any acrylic paints they would like to use for their art. There will be guided design planning on paper, painting time, reflection and group sharing. About your tutor. Maricela Arteta is the founder of MA Collective. She has integrated her passion for art, well-being and community empowerment. Originally from Colombia and now based in Australia, she brings over 10 years of experience in team leadership, community engagement, stakeholder collaboration and creative problem solving. Maricela has developed for over 15 years inclusive workshops that promote team building, self reflection, creative expression, time management and mental wellness, through hands-on artistic experiences. Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS Please choose carefully as course fees will not be refunded to participants who are unable to attend the course due to changes in personal circumstances or work commitments. Course fees will not be refunded once confirmation and/or commencement of the course has occurred. Joining a course after it has started is at the discretion of administration and the course tutor therefore full course costs may still be incurred. In the event of a serious illness, you may request to transfer to the following term. A full refund of course fees will be paid if the advertised course does not proceed. Participants will be advised if a class does not have the minimum number of students to commence.
