Course Outline

Course Description Mamoun will take you on a journey... week 1 - you will be introduced to the Arabic language. You will start of with the Arabic sounds, alphabet and greeting. week 2 - basic sentence structure and everyday vocabulary. week 3 - numbers, time, and simple dialogues. week 4 - introduction to Arabic grammar (nouns, pronouns, and verbs). week 5 - reading and writing practice (short texts and dialogues). week 6 - cultural elements, customs, etiquette, and traditions. week 7 - informal, colloquial Arabic expressions and usage. week 8 - review, assessment, and conversational practice. Your instructor: Mamoun is a bilingual Arabic-English instructor with a strong academic background and practical experience in language education. He is doing a PhD in linguistics and currently teaches English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and Arabic. His expertise includes both formal (Modern Standard Arabic) and informal Arabic instruction, enabling students to develop functional and culturally relevant language skills. He is currently and English and Arabic language instructor at Alana Kaye College, here in Darwin. Mamoun also has experience in developing and delivering custom language programs for diverse learner needs in Jordan and KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) Details 8 week schedule **Monday evenings, 6:30pm - 8:30pm - Monday 4th August is a Public Holiday but there are enough Mondays to complete the 8 week course. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS Please choose carefully as course fees will not be refunded to participants who are unable to attend the course due to changes in personal circumstances or work commitments. Course fees will not be refunded once confirmation and/or commencement of the course has occurred. ​In the event of a serious illness, you may request to transfer to the following term. A full refund of course fees will be paid if the advertised course does not proceed. Participants will be advised if a class does not have the minimum number of students to commence.
