Course Outline
Creative Upcycling Course 3 weeks - Wednesdays Help with the costs of creating your own designer art & craft, to keep or gift, by transforming your old frames or wooden bric-a-brac. Choose from materials provided or bring your own precious objects. Learn various upcycling techniques such as staining, distressing and ageing, painting and decoupage. About the Tutor: David is an excellent tutor with a background within the graphic design and publication worlds over the last 20 years, working within the public health sector as well as a sole trader with a variety of clients. He is an artist member of Darwin Visual Arts and the Society of Scottish Artists. He has held exhibitions in Darwin, Edinburgh, and Golden Bay in New Zealand. His work is shown in the NT, Victoria, Scotland and New Zealand. He has also worked on painting and creative projects for young people, been involved in theatre and acting, and has also been developing an upcycling ethos to pursue a more sustainable practice with his art. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS Please choose carefully as course fees will not be refunded to participants who are unable to attend the course due to changes in personal circumstances or work commitments. Course fees will not be refunded once confirmation and/or commencement of the course has occurred. ​In the event of a serious illness, you may request to transfer to the following term. A full refund of course fees will be paid if the advertised course does not proceed. Participants will be advised if a class does not have the minimum number of students to commence.
