Why Russian language? Keep on learning about the interesting and unknown world of Russia beyond the stereotypes such as vodka, Red Square, beautiful women and not smiling people! This Continuers course is best suited for those who have already been in our Beginners courses or those who already know the language. Russia is the biggest country in the world by land. Russian is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. More than 260 million people around the world converse in the Russian language. According to the language catalog, The Ethnologue, Russian is the 8th most spoken language in the world. Russia has a fascinating culture. Being able to converse in the language will allow you to understand Russian people and their culture better. This course is intended for Russian language learners who have reached the elementary level and would like to review and continue learning Russian. You will: - review previously studied Russian grammar and vocabulary; - learn more relevant basic vocabulary on topics such as shopping, dining out, and getting around cities; - learn and activate new grammatical structures that will allow you to construct past and future tenses; - continue mastering Russian cases; - learn about verbs of motions and perfective and imperfective verbs; - enhance the skills of reading and writing short texts such as personal letters, notes, descriptions; - improve pronunciation toward a more natural flow and sound; - increase your speaking and listening level; - learn more about Russian culture, traditions, and habits. Your instructor: Privet! I'm Anastasia and I'm looking forward to becoming/being your teacher of Russian language. I'm a Russian native with a Masters Degree in Russian language and World Literature. I have been teaching Russian in Darwin for 5 years. I love teaching and learning languages, dancing, singing, traveling. I'm also a big fan of classical music and ballet.
