Course Outline
Course Description: This is an 8 week course held every Saturday afternoon from 2pm to 4pm. This class is for students who have already attended the Italian Beginners class. If Italian is your passion and you want to continue studying it next year, this is the class for you. The program includes the use of a textbook that introduces the in-depth program leading to levels A1-A2 of the European Curriculum, which will be available next year. If you want to make Italian a long-term plan, sign up for the Beginners 2 course! Your instructor: Caterina Michielli is a teacher of Italian with a great passion for languages. She is a native speaker with a degree in Foreign Languages and a specialization Diploma in teaching Italian to Foreigners from the University of Siena (DITALS). She has taught Italian to different age groups (from primary to senior students and adults) in Darwin and in Italy and always enjoys sharing her language and culture with her class. Caterina believes that the real secret to learn a language is not just processing information with your brain but feeling the language with your heart and embracing the sounds, the culture, the differences, and similarities. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS Please choose carefully as course fees will not be refunded to participants who are unable to attend the course due to changes in personal circumstances or work commitments. Course fees will not be refunded once confirmation and/or commencement of the course has occurred. In the event of a serious illness, you may request to transfer to the following term. A full refund of course fees will be paid if the advertised course does not proceed. Participants will be advised if a class does not have the minimum number of students to commence.
