Drawing in Perspective 8 weeks Starts Tuesday evening, 4th February 2025 Being able to draw freely and confidently in a range of media is an essential skill for all art – and is very satisfying in itself. In this course we practise the basics of drawing, including: line, tonality, linear and isometric perspective ; composition, texture and our own imagination. The course is designed as an introduction for beginners, but is also a refresher for more experienced artists. It will allow you to devote 3 hours a week to your art in a friendly, encouraging atmosphere, taking your drawing skills to a new level. We will have a different still life or other arrangements to draw each week; tutor demonstrations; visual presentations; reference books and practice exercises. We will explore a number of traditional drawing media and methods, including: graphite, charcoal (solid, powdered and liquid), pen and ink, and pastel. We include artist’s quality drawing materials and equipment in the course fee. However you may like to bring your own A3 visual diary and pencils, but this is not essential.
