Service Description

Join us for a morning of out-door drawing in the ‘fresh air’ of the Dry season in some of Darwin’s most picturesque locations, suitable for all ages and skill levels, no experience necessary. This is a 4 week course every Saturday morning from 9 am to 12 pm, 3 hours of fresh air! Enjoy the company of a small group and an experienced tutor, who will help you to capture the essence of the scene: simplify the subject, compose your drawing, grasp perspective, draw at speed, measure, appreciate trees and more. Our first session will be in the George Brown Botanical Gardens, later sessions can be by the sea or at locations chosen by the group. Sketching en plein air is a great way to gather reference material for artwork completed in your home studio, or at later Adult Short Courses, so participants are invited to BYO A3 visual diary or sketchbook and drawing materials (which might be just an HB pencil and a sharpener) Feel free to contact your tutor on 0417 881 854 or alisonworsnop13@gmail.com for further information and a suggested materials list.
