Course Outline
Have you ever looked at an old T-shirt, pair of jeans or dress and thought, “I could make this way cooler!”? ✨ In this fun and creative school holiday workshop, kids aged 8+ can let their imaginations run wild and discover how to turn ordinary clothes into something completely unique! Over 2 hours, Jenny will teach fun and easy ways to transform, decorate and redesign clothing. You could turn a plain T-shirt into a colourful creation, give an old pair of jeans a funky new look, add frills and fun details to a dress, or create something totally your own! Have a half-finished sewing project hiding at home? Bring it along and give it a fresh new life! With Jenny’s help, kids will learn simple techniques, experiment with colours, fabrics and designs, and most importantly, have fun creating something they can be proud of and wear! 🎨 Be creative. Be curious. Be you! 👕 Bring an old piece of clothing and get ready to give it a fabulous makeover! PLEASE NOTE: Participants are required to bring a project of their choice, and any favourite decorations or embellishments, although we do have some fabric pieces and trimmings for you to choose from. Glue guns, glue sticks and some hand sewing needles and thread are also available for participants to use. Your Tutor: Jenny has been sewing for many years and has recently honed her skills by attending our Garment Making lessons with the amazing Sandra who is a long time tutor and runs our Garment Making courses. Jenny has ventured into the world of funky fashion, using lots of recycled fabrics, trimmings and clothing to create new and unexpected garments!
