Course Outline

In 4 evening sessions, Jacqueline will guide you through a variety of easy printmaking techniques by hand. You will learn how to use carving tools, mark making, mixing inks and creating blends of colour. With these techniques you will try your hand at monotype printing, including using collage effects, textures and plants – all fun and experimental printmaking. The class also includes relief (block) printing to create artworks, cards or bookmarks. This class is ideal for complete beginners. It is also open to those who have done a class previously and wish to experiment and hone their skills some more. Bring your own photos or sketches, or just be inspired on the day to create your own unique images. Plant samples/cuttings can be collected from the school’s garden or bring your own from home. All materials are supplied. Beware – you’ll be getting inky and creative, so bring an apron or wear something you don’t mind getting ink on! (Then you’ll have more fun!) About Jacqueline Jacqueline is a practising artist and printmaker. She trained as a Printer in Japan where she lived for 11 years, and has delivered classes and workshops both nationally and internationally.
