Service Description

About the Class Join local printer and artist Jacqueline Gribbin for an introductory class in monotype, a printmaking technique, in which you will create colourful and vibrant designs by painting on a plate and printing it onto paper. Layers of colour can be built up by using stencils and textured materials. Jacqueline will also guide you through the process of printing from nature to create wonderful textures and tones of colour. Using found leaves, grasses, flowers and natural objects you will create your own unique images. Feel inspired to create a unique card for Mother’s Day! At the end of the class you will have your own set of hand printed works to give to friends and family. A light lunch, tea & coffee will be provided! Jacqueline will provide samples but feel free to bring your own leaves, plant cuttings and flowers as well as lace, doilies, feathers and string for printing. All materials are supplied. Beware - you will get inky, so bring an apron or wear something you don’t mind getting ink on!
