Course Outline

Mindful Mandalas for Kids (Ages 6–13) Duration: 3 hours In this calming art workshop, children will discover the beauty of mandalas—circular designs built from repeating shapes and patterns. Through gentle guidance, they’ll learn how mandalas are used across cultures and in nature, while experiencing the joy of slow, mindful drawing. ✨ What kids will do: Explore mandalas: Understand their cultural background and see examples from art and nature. Practice mindfulness: Begin with a short breathing exercise to settle into calm attention. Learn mandala basics: Start from the centre, add guidelines, and build patterns outward with symmetry. Create their own artwork: Experiment with petals, dots, waves, triangles, and colours in a meditative process. Reflect and share: Place their finished mandalas in a circle gallery and talk about what felt relaxing. 🌈 Key outcomes: Develop focus and patience through repetitive, mindful pattern‑making. Gain confidence in creative expression without pressure or “right answers.” Experience art as a calming practice that connects creativity with wellbeing. Take home a completed mandala artwork they feel proud of. This workshop blends mindfulness, creativity, and cultural appreciation, giving children a joyful way to slow down, breathe, and create something uniquely their own.
