Expressionism art workshops for children: Series of 4 x 3hr workshops which be booked individually or as a series of all 4. Tuesday 6th, Wednesday 7th, Friday 9th and Saturday 10th January 2026 Age group: 6 to 13 years Workshop series will include: 1. The Scream 2. Eco art 3. Self portraits in the style of famous artists 4. Fabric collage Self-Portraits in the Style of Famous Artists: Parents will be requested to email a portrait photo of their child prior to the session. Using AI the photo will be transformed into a line drawing. Students will learn about techniques and styles of famous artists. Students will create a self-portraits inspired by their chosen artists’ style. Visual references of famous artists (e.g., Van Gogh, Picasso, Kahlo, Warhol, Matisse).Kids Art Workshop - The workshop is playful, creative, and welcoming to all skill levels. Ideal for children aged 6 upwards. Parents are requested to email a portrait of their child prior to the session. Using Ai the photo will be transformed into a line drawing. Workshop Objectives • Introduction - briefly discuss portraits and how artists represent people differently and show examples of famous artist styles. * Art Style Exploration - each student chooses an artist whose style inspires them. * Creating the Portraits - students colour and embellish their Ai - generated portrait in their chosen artist's style. * Encourage creative freedom - students may abstract, exaggerate, or reinterpret their features. * Reflection and Display - students share their work and explain their chosen artist's influence. Materials Provided • Art supplies, pencils, paints, brushes, • String, masking tape, staplers, scissors, glue sticks About your Tutor Tamara is a local artist but also has teaching experience. She has 25+ years teaching all levels from kindergarten to university, including art teaching, special education and English as an additional language. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS Please choose carefully as course fees will not be refunded to participants who are unable to attend the course due to changes in personal circumstances or work commitments. Course fees will not be refunded once confirmation and/or commencement of the course has occurred. Joining a course after it has started is at the discretion of administration and the course tutor therefore full course costs may still be incurred. In the event of a serious illness, you may request to transfer to the following term. A full refund of course fees will be paid if the advertised course does not proceed. Participants will be advised if a class does not have the minimum number of students to commence.
