An introductory course to general computer knowledge, Mondays from 6:30 - 8:30pm for five weeks. Need to learn the basics of understanding and using your computer or laptop? This course is structured to help you with very simple, functional everyday uses of your computer culminating in the creation of a simple word document at the end of five weeks. The course is tailored to meet your needs and will move as fast or as slow as you like. Course Content: • Introduction: Work through the basics of understanding your computer hardware: computer, screen, mouse, keyboard • Utilising the Start Button to find installed programs or settings to adjust various components to suit your personal needs: screen view, mouse • Ergonomics and Ethics • Navigating computer folders, saving and copying • Creating and Editing a Word Document using Microsoft Word. This course will run over 5 weeks and is tailored toward people who have never used a computer or those who would like to update their knowledge to the current Windows 10 Operating System and Microsoft suite of computer software. About your tutor. Yvonne has worked on computers her whole life, using software such as the Microsoft Office, Adobe suite, CAD programs and all the rest!
