Digital Darkroom; Adobe Lightroom. This 2 week course is for absolute beginners to this software as well as Photographers who wish to learn how to catalogue and store their photographs professionally. This course is a perfect addition to our other Photography courses - giving you the full package! Further courses to add to this would be the Lightroom Post Production for Portraiture (2 weeks) and Landscapes (2 weeks) which explore the photographic editing capabilities of Lightroom. What is it? Adobe Lightroom is not just a photo-editor but more of a digital darkroom. It keeps all your image files in its database that's easily accessible and organised. It can be a taster to the software before you invest in it yourself without knowing the basics. Some of the Pros of Lightroom: Unlike a photo editor app, Lightroom is non-destructive. When you make an edit to an image, you can see the edits straight away but, unless you explicitly do so, the original image file doesn't get changed. You can always view or change or re-apply settings any time in the future. Your personal digital library! This course will give you enough background theory and technical know-how to allow you to confidently navigate the program and effectively save and catalogue your photographs in an organised manner. OUTCOMES: Students who complete this course will gain an understanding in the following: · Adobe Lightroom Workspace. · Import - Library and Collections. · Digital Asset Management. · Organising in Lightroom. · Metadata. · Importing and exporting.
